![]() ![]() Next, I opened Google Chrome and again downloaded Belarc. I clicked on the Belarc icon and the program opened and appeared to be running normally, that is until it got exactly halfway through "Checking the local network of this computer." At this point I got the message that it was "Not Responding." After several failed attempts I uninstalled and, using Internet Explorer, reinstalled Belarc Advisor. Unfortunately, anytime I attempt to do anything with Firefox I invariably get a Mozilla Crash Reporter box telling me that Firefox had a problem and crashed.Īlso, recently whenever I tried running Belarc Advisor, for some reason I kept getting these same Mozilla Crash Reporter boxes. I've been online looking for solutions to my problem with Firefox. I would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone who might have an answer to this perplexing problem. Since I use Firefox almost exclusively, I would really like to have it functioning again. Now it won't even uninstall.)Įarlier tonight I did a System Restore, but that failed to solve my problem. (Actually, several days ago I was able to uninstall and reinstall Firefox, thinking that doing so would fix my problem, but it didn't. However, when I then click on Continue absolutely nothing happens I cannot uninstall Firefox. Whenever I go into the Control Panel and click on "Uninstall a Program," and then click on the Firefox icon, I then get a pop-up tellling me that Windows needs my permission to continue. ![]() Also, I find it strange that I'm also unable to uninstall Firefox. In other words, I'm no longer able to open Firefox. Tonight, however, it's finally gotten to the point that now whenever I click on the Firefox icon nothing at all happens. After closing this Add-On page Firefox, finally, would then open immediately and function normally from that point on. Whenever I would click on the Firefox icon I would get two pop-up messages in succession informing me that I was having some kind of problem with "Chrome registration" and that I needed to "contact the author." At first this was just an annoyance since I was able to close these two pop-ups, after which a Firefox Add-On page would invariably and inexplicably open. My problems with Mozilla Firefox started about a week ago. ![]()
